Between tradition and renewal
Lescaneaut is the story of a family heritage, a challenge of time, a renewal of know-how, and a passion for the gourmet.
Lescaneaut is first and foremost the name of our family home, an eighteenth century Girondine structure of « blonde » stones, overlooking the beautiful Dordogne. And then, Lescaneaut is the vineyard, the land, and the name of the wines that are born here. Six generations of winegrowers have succeeded, and have arrived at Malika Faytout, born in Lescaneaut. She is the eldest daughter of François Faytout, who worked the vineyards until 2001. Malika married Pascal Boueix in 1997, who, after completing his training as an architect, enthusiastically took on the study of viticulture and oenology. Pascal took the reins of the wine estate in 2002 and has since been developing a natural wine, balanced and respectful of the terroir. A graduate with a Doctorate in Psychology, a DUAD and three children later, it is alongside Pascal, accomplished winegrower, that Malika returns to her first passion. Some “live with love and fresh water,” for Pascal and Malika, so it will be with “love and wine”!
